Job Description

In order to continuously build and promote ethics & integrity culture in Walmart China, responsible for managing ethics cases ; providing proactive ethics support and expert advice & guidance by responding to relevant stakeholders on requests about Ethics opinions; managing the Ethics projects and supporting business unit on reporting about Ethics case trends, significant Ethics issues. Responsibilities 1. Manage the execution of the relevant Ethics case management and investigative process, ensure the fairness and consistency of conclusion and recommendation; which includes: 1) Ensuring intake of allegations are accurate; initial assessment of allegations and escalation on tier 1 cases to Global Ethics Office; 2) Keeping communication with the reporting individual to request additional information for incomplete or insubstantial allegations; 3) Following up with investigation team to ensure the thorough and effective investigation has been completed within timeline; 4) Review of factual findings with investigator, legal and business owner if needed; 5) Analyzing ethics violation and determining the consistent range of discipline action; 6) Resolves cases with business leaders and decision makers by reviewing facts, conclusions and recommended corrective plan with business owners, investigation team, legal and HR partners; 7) Following up with business owner regarding implementation of remediation measures; 8) Completing communication with reporter and subjects of unsubstantiated allegations, close out cases. 2. Continuously review and optimize the case management process for higher efficiency by evaluating effectiveness of investigation to detect ethical misconduct, applying suggestions for improving efficiency and effectiveness of the case management process and provide feedback to Global Ethics Office. 3. Managing all the ethics related opinion requests by seeking for guidance from Global Ethics Office if needed; provide proactive ethics support, expert advice and guidance by responding to stakeholders on requests about ethics opinions; and documenting the opinion and response in the case management system. 4. Manage ethics projects by conducting background research under oversight of supervisor; partnering with Line Managers in other parts of the company to identify operational processes to prevent or detect unethical behavior; analyzing data for ethics projects; and completing multiple tasks to assist with the completion of the project. 5. Support the execution of a quantitative and qualitative business unit reporting model for Walmart China to engage and inform on ethics trends, significant ethics issues and cases involving Walmart China associates as well as suppliers, which includes ethics status, trend, potential concerns, anticipated issues and suggestions. 7. Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in ethics and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. 8. Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans. Requirements 1. At least 8 years‘ related work experience in multi-national company. 2. Familiar with retail and consumer business; 3. Good judgment, model the WM culture; 4. Excellent English proficiency required; 5. Bachelor degree, major in Ethics, Legal, Compliance or Auditing is prefer; 6. Strong computer and analytical skills; 7. Strong presentation and communication skills; 8. Strong interpersonal, people skills.
