Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to provide day to day support to the management team in delivering the Walmart/Sam’s strategy and business plan priorities.

The role supports to deliver Walmart/Sam’s strategy by focusing on the right activities and working closely with the lead team to develop and implement a plan to successfully deliver on our commitments.


Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives from ideation to implementation, including identifying specific pain points in the existing organization, streamlining key issues and gaps to desired outcomes, and drive actions and improvements within the Walmart Management team and corresponding counterparties in Walmart and Sam’s departments.
  • ·       Collaborate with the team to determine and prioritize business strategies, and provide the senior leaders with appropriate flows of business information, insights and analysis on the company’s strategic initiatives and strategic choices
  • ·       Providing analysis, recommendations, and options to the Head of Strategy regarding high impact decisions, as well as assessing risk when business decisions are made
  • ·       Provide support and input into the achievements of the Head of Strategy objectives and priorities; proactively follow up if and when goals are not being achieved and provide actionable recommendations for improvements
  • ·       Participate in Walmart/Sam’s department-level strategic and operational initiatives, taking a coordination, implementation or project lead role as required
  • ·       Prepare and/or coordinate various communications, reports, presentations, briefings, executives and board papers as requested by the Head of Strategy and leadership team
  • ·       Develop and maintain key relationships within and beyond the Strategy team, and build a process to track and nurture key internal & external stakeholders

 Requirements

  • 5+ years of business experience with evidence of strong performance and career progression
  • ·       Bachelor’s degree in economics and business-related majors, MBA is a plus
  • ·       Business acumen and highly results oriented.
  • ·       Ability to learn on the fly and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
  • ·       Analyzing and drawing insights from data.
  • ·       Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • ·       Track record of developing collaborative working relationships.
  • ·       Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • ·       Proficient in writing and speaking both English and Chinese.
