Job Description

Key tasks
  1. Risk Control:
  • review, identify, advice, monitor and test compliance risks in areas of advertisement, pricing, measurement and barcode, including but not limited to any and all public facing materials, marketing promotions, price change and description, measurement accuracy and barcode labeling etc. to ensure fully compliance and business risks controlled for Walmart Store and Sam's Club.
  • continuously understand business procedures and work process and proactively initiate and drive enhanced solutions with compliance control points in business to protect consumer rights and mitigate business risks.
  • deal with customer complaints/authority enquiries if any, evaluate risks and provide solutions to follow up the issue to avoid penalties and reputational damage.
  • provide day to day support and effective compliance solutions to business to prevent potential risks.
  1. Big Projects & New Initiatives:
  • lead and support both Global & China projects in CP and work with stakeholders to deliver good results.
  • support new business initiatives with identifying risks and building solid control and monitoring mechanism.
  1. Monitoring & Testing:
  • fully engaged in level 1/2/3 monitoring to identify potential CP risks and take remediations efficiently.
  • regularly monitor and test existing controls to ensure its functioning and effectiveness.
  1. Training & Awareness:
  • track and take analysis of legislation and regulatory change in consumer protection to ensure business acting with updated regulatory requirements.
  • draft and update compliance guidelines, guidance and other materials for business timely and providing trainings to relevant associates to build compliance awareness.
Job Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Law, Food/Product Safety and relevant compliance subjects
  • High integrity with positive and can-do attitude
  • Strong analytical mindset, good understanding and problem solving skills
  • A multi-tasker with efficiency and good work quality
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese language skills
  • Project management & data analysis skills
  • At least 5 years of working experience in legal and compliance
  • Solid expertise and experience in Consumer Protection, Anti-trust, AML and related field is preferred.
