The Solutions & Process Enablement Specialist plays a critical role in the success of International Indirect Spend Management’s (ISM) key initiatives through enabling the utilization of Walmart’s Source 2 Pay capabilities. These Associates will be responsible for executing eAuctions / electronic negotiations (Interactive Bidding Events or “IB”) for multi-million-dollar projects in a wide variety of Goods and Services for Walmart Stores.  These Associates will also be responsible for enabling governing buying channels to support the results of these electronic negotiations. The Associates will interact with ISM sourcing professionals and their suppliers, from multiple markets, in order to create, plan and execute IB strategies.  Successful associates will leverage standardized processes and technologies to enable the success for Program KPI’s.  

Responsibilities

  • Work with ISM Interactive Bidding Director, the Solutions & Enablement Manager and in-market Sourcing managers to ensure that the bidding platform is set up effectively and comprehensively in order to execute Interactive Bidding Events
  • Coordinate supplier-related activities such as training, system registration and IB event scheduling
  • Plan IB activities with cross functional teams to ensure prioritization and efficient execution
  • Understand and facilitate the process of supplier training the use of the bidding technology platform
  • Train suppliers through the use of “mock” events to prepare suppliers for their live Interactive Bidding events
  • Support cross organization proliferation of Interactive Bidding for GFR and GNFR based on Interactive Bidding Pipeline
  • Refine and evolve the process to capture all relevant product categories through Interactive Bidding. Develop the capacity and capability to run Interactive Bidding events at any point and as needed. 
  • Understand Ariba’s Interactive Bidding solution competently enough to support building and running live auctions independently 
  • Provide live event troubleshooting support to suppliers and stakeholders in coordination with various technology service providers
  • Generate and present bid results to relevant stakeholders
  • Understand the governing principles of Interactive Bidding Strategies in order to leverage technology functionality to realize the strategy conditions in an e-Auction event
  • Work with ISM Sourcing Managers to assess appropriate purchasing channels in order to control the savings integrity of completed negotiations
  • Recommend, develop and implement appropriate buying channels that match ISM’s desired governance strategies.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Finance processes.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.


Qualifications

  • Read, writes and speaks English and Mandarin fluently.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.      

SKILLS:

Computer Skills:                                   

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Operations ERP systems required, SAP Ariba experience highly preferred.
  • PowerPoint and presentation, strong analytical skills

EXPERIENCE:

·       2 years direct work experience in a Procurement and / or Sourcing

·       Experience with Procurement and Sourcing Technology Solutions

·       Prior exposure to eAuctions is an asset

EDUCATION:

Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Operations or similar relevant fields
